2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 That Was Detailed For 100 Hours Takes Zero eBay Bids

We came across this eBay listing for Esoteric Auto Detailing’s 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 show car that was once used as a marketing prop. With bids starting at $90,000, it carries a hefty price tag, but it should be able to back its value thanks to notable refinement. In fact, Esoteric claims that there’s over $150,000 put into this investment (which includes the original cost of the car, obviously).

So what’s so special about this C7 Z06? For starters, it has several factory goodies, including the 3LZ interior, carbon fiber roof, and Z07 package. It’s also been given the full Esoteric treatment. This includes a 100-hour detailing job, and SunTek paint protection film on all impact areas, so as to protect from rock chips and other things that may cause marring. The company also polished the back sides of the seats, and coated the seats, all interior fabrics, exterior painted surfaces, wheels, brake calipers, and exhaust tips with Gyeon protection, which is a “ultra durable” hydrophobic paint coating.

But the enhancements aren’t just cosmetic, no, this Corvette also features a few performance goodies. Aside from an Akrapovic exhaust, which costs $5,770 and maintains the ability to adjust sound management, this Z06 was also equipped with the Lingenfelter Performance 720HP package.

Despite all of this, the Esoteric Z06 took home not even a single bid. Puzzling, no?

  1. I have bought and sold things on eBay for years. From my experience, having a high starting bid is always a bad thing. People want to think they are getting something for a steal and if you set the bar too high people will look at a similar item with a $1 starting bid. I have seen items sell for more than what another item was listing as a high starting price. If they are worried about losing money then just put in a reserve price.
