Roadkill Rescues A 1956 Buick Century From Mother Nature: Video

Roadkill is back again, and this time, the show has turned its sights on a junkyard. But, not just any junkyard.

This place has no signage or name. Just junked vehicles sitting on the property where Mother Nature has done her best overtake the sheet metal. The particular vehicle is a 1956 Buick Century, which has apparently sat in a thorn bush for 25 years.

Not only do we get to see David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan struggle to undo Mother Nature’s work, but the two have big plans for the 1956 Buick.

The old Buick chassis will be mounted on a 1973 Corvette chassis. Yeah, you’ll want to tune in to see how that all goes. Click play right up above.

  3. Before seeing the video I had actually hoped they would rescue a 56 Buick… You know, restore it to a splendid condition as if it rolled out of the showroom… The reality is they just gave it the final kill. I’ve never seen such an unprofessional “rescue” attempt. Given many years of painstaking work, something could have been made of that car. Now it’s just scrap. There are so many shows these days that really mess up cars which should be preserved. It’s really sad.

    1. that buick was clapped out, rusted, rotten, never to see a road, showroom, garage or person again.
it was decaying inside a damned thorn bush ,wow the hipster dipsits are out in full force i see.you realize the only way to restore that car properly is take the serial tag and scrap the car then
      find a donor dont you?

  4. When I first saw this, I had not gone into the video. I had honestly thought that they “were” going to restore it to it’s former glory…Instead, they are just a bunch of dumb “hacks” who evidently know nothing about the cars value. Instead of wrecking one, they wrecked two…VERY DISAPPOINTING ! Somebody like Jay Leno could have worked His magic on it, Or had some else do it, & turn it into a “barn burner” ! What a waste ! I still salute those who “truly do restore” these treasures, Not some hacks !

  5. Last year they went into a Junk Yard in the desert and rescued early 50’s GMC pick up and put it on the road which was cool. That was a Great show. This was a complete waste of time and effort. They destroyed 2 cars; a restorable 1973 Corvette and a restorable ’56 Buick Century Coupe. This show is best when they are making cars better or saving them and making them drivable. Not doing stupid stuff.
