Opel Welcoming 20,000 Guests To Celebrate 50 Years At Its Dudenhofen Test Center

Opel is preparing for another celebration by honoring 50 years of testing its vehicles at the Dudenhofen test center with a massive party on September 10, 2016. The brand is expecting 20,000 guests to fill the facility and its 43.5 miles of track, which sees nearly 25,000 accumulated miles of action daily.

“September 10 will be a totally new experience for the Opel Test Center,” says Vice President Vehicle Engineering at Opel, William F. Bertagni. “Over five decades, the site has grown into Opel’s largest and most important test center in Europe. We are looking forward to celebrating this anniversary with our guests, to giving them a look behind the scenes while again demonstrating how exciting and approachable our brand is.”

Opel will provide plenty of activities during the event, which opens at 10 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m. Football, golf and event miniature recreations of test track portions will be present featuring tiny Opel Adams.

Additionally, Opel will invite guests on sightseeing tours the entire day to have a gander at the entire test track as it bids cheers to fifty years.
