Opel Gears Up For German Round Of Formula Student

Opel is helping young engineers get their wheels turning as it prepares to host the German round of Formula Student, the largest student motorsports competition on the continent.

Opel has grown its sponsorship of German universities to nine this year after several additional universities showed their capabilities for the competition. This includes management of the entire process chain, just as manufacturers would approach traditional motorsports.

Opel will also once again present the “Opel Style Award”. The prize recognizes especially clever design and packaging solutions, and thereby builds a bridge to these traditional Opel strengths. Competition is fierce, however, with 4,000 students from 25 countries competing.

The event kicks off on August 9 and runs through August 14.
