Opel and General Motors are ramping up the promotion for the inbound Opel Ampera-e, the European cousin of the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV.
Opel has shared the most recent development drive with us, and it features brand CEO Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann and General Motors President, Dan Ammann.
Ammann is the wheel man this go around, and the two GM execs (shockingly) like the car quite a bit. We’d hope so, at least.
Opel will publicly reveal the 2017 Ampera-e at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. Shortly after, the 2017 Bolt EV will enter production at the Orion Assembly and reach retail customers by the end of 2016.

It would have been wild to have seen these guys take the Opel Ampera-e to the Nurburgring and really try to put the EV through it’s paces.. listening to the two comment on possible suspension upgrades that the car might need then talk about the Ampera-e’s battery efficiency on the track.
