The 2017 GMC Canyon introduces a new All Terrain X package, which GMC describes as the “most off-road-capable Canyon for those who travel beyond the paved path”. Let’s have an in-depth look at what the GMC Canyon All Terrain X delivers.
Before you skip to the comments in raging desperation, we’ll note that the 2017 GMC Canyon still offers the “regular” All Terrain package (RPO code GAT). What is taking place is that the new Canyon All Terrain X (RPO code PDV) builds on the All Terrain as a separate package by including content from the All Terrain, and then adding four other features.

- All-weather floor liners (LPO, RIA)
- Spray-on bedliner (CGN)
- Black, 3-inch round assist steps (LPO, RVP)
- Plus:
- Contents of All Terrain Package (GAT) listed below

Pricing
Pricing for the 2017 Canyon All Terrain X has yet to be announced. To note, though, is that the 2017 Canyon All Terrain X bears a striking equipment and feature similarity to the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 Trail Boss. Given that the Colorado Z71 Trail Boss was a $7,710 option on the 2016 Colorado (before being discontinued on the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado), expect pricing to fall somewhere in the vicinity of that number.
Comments
Those side steps may be useful if you are short, but GM is putting out another customer fleecing off road package that is largely useless off road. No breakover angle.
Yawn……
I still take issue with the fact that (and this applies to the Colorado, as well) I cannot get the off-road model (Canyon All-Terrain and Colorado Z71) with leather. I can’t be the only one who would like the uplevel interior features along with the off-road suspension…
Same on limited colors?
