LS9-Powered, All-Titanium Icona Vulcano Production Vehicle Debuting At Salon Prive

It’s not every day a company decides to build an all-titanium hyper car. It’s also not every day the company chooses to propel said hyper car with a 6.2-liter supercharged LS9 V8 engine. But, that’s what Icona has done.

The company displayed the extravagant super car at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance last year, stating a production-spec was on its way. And, it’s nearly here.

CarScoops reports Icona will unveil the production Vulcano at Salon Prive next month in the United Kingdom. For performance, the Vulcano pushes 670 hp and 604 lb-ft of torque and dispatches 0-62 mph in just 2.8 seconds, and 124 mph happens in only 6.8 seconds.

The company stated the bodywork took 10,000 hours to complete and is made entirely from titanium. Inside, the cabin is awash with more titanium, carbon fiber, alcantera and more. Enough rare materials to warrant its $2.78 million price tag? Probably.
