General Motors is reportedly set to announce a major investment at the Marion, Indiana plant, according to local news affiliate WISHTV.
According to the report, GM will invest $85 million into the Marion Metal Center, which is responsible for providing blanks and sheetmetal assembly for vehicle production in North America.
No specifics were available at this time, but insiders stated a formal announcement will arrive this coming week.
Over 1,600 individuals are employed at the Marion Center, and the investment will reportedly secure 1,200 positions.
