A new plant is finding a home in Lansing, Michigan, and new hires will be in demand. The Lansing State Journal reports TFT Global, a third-party logistics company headquartered in Ingersoll, Ontario, will move into a 50,000-square-foot facility in Lansing to support the General Motors Delta Township plant.
As a supplier for GM, it will work on the “sequencing of inner door panels” for the Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse. To start, the company with lease a $2 million building and a 2,000-square-foot attached office space while the facility begins construction.
Better news for locals is a handful of job openings are coming. The company will hire 30 to 35 workers ranging from forklift operators to plant managers.
The initial investment is likely to grow, as the company cites its want to work with the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. The sixth-generation Camaro returned production to the United States after years in Canada and is now assembled in Lansing.
