Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Spotted Once Again

More and more frequently we are seeing the imminent Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 out and about. Despite wearing plenty of camouflage up front, it’s still apparent there are off-road oriented things going on.

Four Wheeler spied the upcoming Colorado ZR2, this time with some baggage in the rear as it towed a trailer. The Colorado ZR2 keeps its heightened ride height from the 2014 concept truck, and the ground clearance should be greater thanks to its raised front nose and bumper.

Mechanical specifications are still unknown, though, we do know one engine will more than likely be the newly introduced 3.6-liter LGZ V6 engine. The Colorado ZR2 was spied at the pump partaking in regular gasoline, leaving many to believe the 2.8-liter four-cylinder Duramax diesel could be an additional option.

Expect heavy duty springs and shocks to be a part of the formula, while some undeniably aggressive tires help keep things under control in difficult terrains.

As we continue to see the Chevy Colorado ZR2 more often, we can only believe a debut is approaching sooner rather than later.
