The GM Authority Take
The continued success of the Chevy Colorado is proof positive that there was significant pent-up demand for a modern, competitive midsize pickup truck. It also shows that (what was once seen as) the “mighty” and “segment-dominating” Toyota Tacoma is far from unbeatable, especially with a solid product like the Colorado (and its cousin, the GMC Canyon). In fact, we see it as a lesson that can be applied to nearly any brand and vehicle segment. Having said that, we are very curious to see what updates and changes are in store for the 2017 Chevy Colorado (looking at you, Colorado ZR2).
