Cadillac is playing the teaser game with its upcoming concept vehicle, set to debut tomorrow at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
Originally, Cadillac provided a teaser video which only showcased the interior design briefly. Specifically, it highlighted the concept’s curved, OLED infotainment screens. Now, the teasers turn to the exterior. Cadillac has offered up an image of the concept’s mirror and its wheel.
The description along with the post to its official Facebook page reads, “A uniquely American style and an unmistakably Cadillac design.”
From the looks of the teasers, we’re going to place our bets on a coupe of some sort, but Cadillac could surprise us with something entirely different. Be sure to stay tuned tomorrow when the concept vehicle is unveiled in the flesh.

CTV Coupé CT6 Based?
The slope of the trim on the greenhouse suggests a coupe . A Cadillac based on the Buick Avinar ?
It could be a coupe or even a sedan that has the coupe styling.
It will be interesting to what it is.
I do expect this. It will detail the styling we will see in about 2 years.
But to keep from being disappointed you need to say to yourself this is only a concept car as that is all it is. How close to production TBD.
It used to be that show cars were accepted for being show cars. Then GM and others took production cars and just customized them a little then made them production. GM and most others have gone back to true show cars again and some people need to keep this in mind. While the car it’s self may not be producible like past cars it may highlight many things that will make production.
Bases on what Cadillac had originally planned they were going to do 3 true concept cars and as each one was shown they would highlight more things that were planned for future models. So while this may still be a true concept car I expect we may see things that will actually make production not only in future models but replacements for present models.
While this may not be a 100% JDN car it will be closer to what his vision is and I expect we will see some changes we have not seen before.
But again repeat this is a Concept car not a production car. Cadillac has not mislead anyone as they have made it clear these are pure show cars. So please do not read anything more into it than as presented.
The Sixteen was not producible. The Ciel was far from production. The Elmiraj problem was not only was it a pure show car but the Omega would not adjust to the correct wheel base to build it.
The Cien was conceived when Corvette originally was looking at a mid engine platform. When it was pushed back this left Cadillac with nothing to work with. Also it was at a time Cadillac needed more than just a high priced mid engine car that would have been a tough sell based on the other models they had at the time. You have to earn the right to sell a high priced car like this. You fail and you do more damage than good. Also GM was well on the way to bankruptcy at this time. They needed a better large sedan than they needed a sports car that sold in hundreds.
Their time is coming and we should see based on what I have recently found out the really all new products will show up around 2019 and on. At that point we can judge Cadillac and JDN on the direction they are going.
Nobody really buys sedans anymore….they need to start building SUV concepts and put much more focas and effort into Utily vehicles than they are now….tve problem is they are giving the special attention to sedans whale they arnt selling like hot cakes anymore.
Yes SUV/CUV are where sales are but for Pebble Beach they will show a large sedan that they still need that will set a tone for the car line and will still make a large profit at this price point.
This is a event that features the worlds most elegant cars so what do you take?
You don’t take a football to a baseball game.
While they are not saying much in the very near future you will get two all new CUV/SUV models with another to follow soon after. These do not need to be features as they sell not matter what. They sell themselves.
I would tell you all this but since you know everything on Cadillac you would already know this.

While everyone would love for the 2016 Cadillac concept car to be possibly a CTS coupe, logic would dictate that the concept car to be a replacement for the Cadillac ATS coupe given that the ATS platform has been around since 2013 and could be replaced in mid-2018 as a 2019 model.
