Another shot in the arm of excitement is coming from Cadillac. The brand has posted a teaser video for an upcoming design concept, which it plans to reveal during Pebble Beach on August 18. Â We’ll say that the bar has been set pretty high for this one, as the last Cadillac concept to be shown at Pebble was the jaw-dropping Elmiraj Concept – a car that Cadillac have chosen not to build, but should.
The teaser video shows no shots or silhouettes of the exterior, but instead focuses heavily on the interior. In fact, the video description states the highlight of the interior is multiple, curved OLED screens placed within the cabin. Cadillac states the displays have been engineered by LG and are similar to the latest trend in at-home televisions (curved ones, perhaps). It also stated the technology will be implemented and developed for “a future Cadillac vehicle.”
Fans can tune into the reveal on August 18 via the Cadillac Facebook page, where the brand will screen the reveal live at 10:45 p.m. Eastern Time. Bring on the future, Cadillac.

Please be an amazing flagship sedan that will make it to production!
This is a small cuv or a small sedan, which will make it to production…
Anyway, no matter what it is, the main thing is that we will see what the new direction of the cadillac’s design will be.
But I hope it’s smth big.
Lets hope it not another teaser flagship car that won’t make it to production. But looking at the dash layout I think its safe to assume its a car not a SUV. But whatever the model is, this dash layout looks incredibly awesome. I think if we do see a full size sedan as the concept its safe to say that the CT8 or 9 is still on and coming.
Also note.. OLED display was used on another Cadillac concept, the XTS concept used this technology on its concept form in 2010 however the tech was still newer and less refined then it is now.
Another awesome concept with a very cool name that will not find its way to production.
ya it could be the end of the tired A&S design theme…..its safe to say this could be the Cadillac design theme by 2025.
I think it will be an evolution of the a and s. Softer lines as JDN said. And this is nice, but you went too far about the 2025… We will see a new design language on the next models and this is not the timeline u’ve mentioned.
Probably 2018/19
This could be the end of your tires repeated anti A&S rants. But it won’t as it will continue to evolve.
I agree A&S still has some life in it……2018/19 A&S evolves further…….2024/25 is when we could see a all-new Revolutionary design theme for Cadillac….I’m not a fan of the slab-sides and softer lines and to me it doesn’t fit well with Cadillac….Cadillac needs to look bold and aggressive.
Go Cadillac¡¡ this is the next step to excellence¡¡
I hope Cadillac still keeps the vertical light elements and at least a few sharp lines. I really hate that Cadillac is trying to soften their designs to appeal to Chinese tastes. That sharp, brash styling that is Art & Science has really given Cadillac its uniqueness in an era of ubiquitous design queues.
Well, If u want to keep the vertical tail lights- fine, but at least make them look good.
Because the current vertical tail lights look cheap, simple, dated and life less.
I wish Cadillac bodies would look like the Elmeraj and Ciel…..not CTSs from different sizes.
First off we do not know if this is a car or CUV. Odds a car.
Second it is a concept car so please temper your thoughts. I expect this to be the third installment of the 3 show cars we were promised. It will give hints at the future but keep in mind JDN came after these three cars were planned so we may not see a lot from this car unless he had enough input.
The A&S will continue to soften and the hard edges will be reduced but not eliminated. They have a look that is being refined and it will continue its path.
The hard edges are aging now and to refine they will soften.
lmfao and when we gonna see jdn’s results, which finally will show a new direction???? I’m so tired of bs like this: The ct6??? oh nooooo, it was designed before jdn came. Xt5? Nooooo, it was planned before he came.. This concept? noooooo, jdn was not even born yet lol When this guy is planning to start workin ? lol
The problem is that cadillac is 2 slow
If you would get your head out of your posterior and learn how it works to redesign a car you would have a better understanding and not look so silly as you do here.
#1 A major redo for a car is no less than 5 years. Add a little more for a new platform.
#2 Even a minor refresh to the nose and tail can take 2-3 years min. Interiors the same.
If you look JDN has been here 2 years this August and that is no where near the time it takes to redo or create a entirely new car.
This is why it is just now we are seeing a new dash in the older cars and new noses on them.
Hey this is not a defense of JDN but the reality of the time it takes to make the needed changes no matter who is in charge.
But if you had done your homework you would have known that and not look as ignorant as you do most of the time.
Today with testing and budgets as well extra engineering that is required today it is damn near impossible to do a change in one year.
on the 04 Pontiac GP it took a year and half just to make a fix for the bouncing head lamps.
Ya evolving A&S is like seasoning 3 week old stale French fries….since Biucks look sexyer and bolder the Cadillacs..
Given everything Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen has said, one has to assume that the new concept car could be a large CUV; but one thing that it won’t be is a performance car which means it’s unlikely to be a mid-engine sports coupe that shares a platform with Chevrolet’s C8 Corvette.
CT8 sedan on omega chassis 2018/2019 model year.
I’m afraid that the CT8 release date has slid passed 2020….far past it……the CT6 will be good enough with a V8 and a refresh in 2019/2020 modal year….its a safe bet that it would be time for Cadillac to move up with a CT8 in around 2024/25 because Cadillac has to focus on CUV/SUVs for the time being.
