With each round of spy shots, we’re beginning to see the upcoming C7 Corvette ZR1 take shape. This time, Autoblog has the photos of the ZR1 prototype sporting its massive rear wing.
Not long ago, the C7 Corvette ZR1 was spotted sporting some aggressive aerodynamics, but the wing itself seemed to have been tucked away inside the car and wrapped in bubble wrap for safe keeping. This time, it bears all.
With a wing like that, downforce and aerodynamics are clearly important here. While what’s powering the ZR1 this time around is still a mystery, rumors have it up 700 hp may be present either from a tweaked 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 engine, or even a possible twin-turbo LT5 V8 that has climbed its way back into the rumor mill.
With spy shots continuously flowing in, we expect the C7 Corvette ZR1 to show face sooner, rather than later.

Like the wings and added bits or not they are required to put down the additional power this car will have. The Z06 even now has traction issues and needs more down force.
This is going to be the best and last Front engine Corvette Super Car.
Think of this as like the Z/28 a track driven street legal car.
Someone says this car is not other thing than a C7Z06X Race Car prototype, not ZR1
It is C7 ZR1 one of these C7’s had blue calipers on it, these other had red calipers on it most likely to throw people off. Gm has records to break, and these C7ZR1 is these one to do it. Corvette C7Z06 will stay at these same horsepower level.
