This 2,300 horsepower (!) Chevrolet Nova II is an absolute monster, and thanks to 1320Video we get to see it in action at Rocky Mountain Race Week 2016.
Larry Larson, the owner, is a 10-time Drag Week and Rocky Mountain Race Week competitor. With plenty of experience under his belt, Larson knows how to pace himself during the 1,000-mile, 7-day race week so that he and the Nova can make it until the end (which doesn’t always happen). He didn’t intend to just finish, though, he planned on taking first or second place.
This objective to win is rather feasible considering the fact that this Nova is propelled by a 2300 horsepower (we just love saying it) twin-turbocharged 9.3L 565-cubic inch V8. What’s even more impressive is the fact that Larson drives the Nova from track to track – no trailers required.
But, the question is, does this Nova have what it takes to come out on top at the end of the week? Hit play to find out.
