Following the official pricing of the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Chevrolet also delivered a swift kick to the Ford Shelby Mustang GT350 by officially pricing the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE.
Keep in mind, the 1LE is simply an additional package to the Camaro’s LT or SS trim levels while delivering greater track and handling performance.
So, for the V8-powered SS, the 2017 Camaro 1LE SS will be available as a $6,500 package atop the 2017 Camaro 1SS trim. By 2017 Camaro 1SS pricing, that means a price tag of $37,990 for the 1SS plus the $6,500 for the 1LE SS package, coming out to $44,490. By comparison, the Ford Shelby Mustang GT350 rings it at a substantially higher $55,595 before heading to the options sheet.
And, if V8 power isn’t your thing, the 2017 Camaro V6 1LE has you covered for $4,500 atop the V6-powered 1LT and 2LT models. Adding the package to a 1LT means a price of around $31,800 and a price of $35,900 for the Camaro 2LT.
Model Year | Make | Model | Trim Level | Trim Level Starting Price | 1LE Package Price | Total 1LE Starting Price |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
2017 | Chevrolet | Camaro | 1LT V6 | $27,300 | $4,500 | $31,800 |
2017 | Chevrolet | Camaro | 2LT V6 | $31,400 | $4,500 | $35,900 |
2017 | Chevrolet | Camaro | 1SS V8 | $37,990 | $6,500 | $44,490 |
“Building on Chevrolet’s well-established recipe for track-focused performance, the new 1LE packages expand the performance envelope of the Camaro SS and, for the first time, the Camaro LT,” said Camaro chief engineer, Al Oppenheiser. “You’ll be hard-pressed to find more track-capable cars in their respective classes for the money.”

So, this is what Oppenheiser meant by “punching back” at cross-town rivals.

The V6 is a killer package for the money!
Too bad 1LE is not in 2SS with HUD.
