2017 C7 Corvette Z06 Spotted, Features Zero Exterior Design Changes

It was once assumed the 2017 C7 Corvette and Z06 would be receiving an updated, or redesigned, hood to help counter cooling issues the C7 generation of Corvette has been occasionally plagued with. However, that is not the case.

Corvette Blogger has snagged photos of a pre-production, 2017 C7 Corvette Z06 which show no exterior changes whatsoever. The photos come from two Stingray Forum members, who spotted the 2017 Corvette Z06 while in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

The hood modifications likely refer to the supercharger hood on the Z06, as Lead Corvette Engineer Tadge Juechter commented on during the 2017 C7 Corvette Grand Sport drive.

That means, if you were looking for any sort of freshened styling for the 2017 model year, you’re out of luck. However, we should have details on upcoming colors and trims shortly as the 2017 model year begins production next month.

  1. Time to jump ship to a Porsche 911…..much better built cars anyway and have an even more impressive winning record on tracks worldwide. The Corvette is still (and seems will forever be) short-changed by the top brass. I’ll spend more for a better quality product that will more than likely become a better investment in the long run. Unfortunate since I do own a 2012 ZR1 but the new car is just not that good yet compared to just about every other marque out there. When this car’s chief engineer actually told potential buyers that it’s better for them to get the seven-speed than the automatic because the latter tends to overheat there’s a SERIOUS issue with this car….the limp mode makes matters worse. No thank you GM. Fix it or get out of the sports car game altogether and let the big boys run the show without you.
