Buick has officially launched the 2017 LaCrosse Hybrid EV in China, and with its launch comes an official price tag.
The 2017 Buick LaCrosse Hybrid will start at RMB 275,800, or roughly $41,309 USD, while fully-specced models will fetch a price of RMB 305,800, or roughly $45,802 USD.
The 2017 LaCrosse Hybrid is equipped with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine paired to a 1.5-kWh high-performance lithium-ion battery unit. This powertrain combination is good for 4.7 liters of fuel consumption per every 100 kilometers. For us yanks, that’s 1.24 gallons for every 62 miles.
Buick states those numbers offer a 35 percent increase in efficiency over the outgoing LaCrosse eAssist.
Buick has not provided any concrete plans to bring the LaCrosse Hybrid to the U.S. market, therefore leaving the 3.6-liter LGX V-6 engine as the only option in the North American market.
