sounds like someone figured out how to save 5 cents on a part and it bite them in the ass.
My took my equinox in for recall over a month ago and they told me no solution so wasn’t doing recall yet. Tonight on my way to work in a downpour and wipers quit working. I’m lucky to not have killed myself. It’s risking lives. This problem has been known since August. GM don’t you think it’s time to find a solution??? I could have been killed!
I had same issue on April 19th, on my way to home from work in a downpour and wipers quit working. I’m glad narrowly missed an accident. I got my vehicle towed to the Dealership. They fixed it next day.
I had same issue, on May 5th I was driving home in a torrential downpour and both wipers just quit working. I was lucky that I didn’t wreck. Now I have to take it into the dealership Monday. However I have been informed that parts are backordered and that I will have to leave my vehicle at the dealership for a few days.
I have a 2012 GMC Terrain VIN 2GKALMEK2C6398387 and the front windshield wipers stopped working on Monday April 29, 2019 as it was raining and the wipers were on as my wife was driving home. It seems to be the same problem as the recalled 2013 models of the GMC Terrain. My 2012 Terrain and probably others of the same year should be included in the recall. Also, has there been a solution to the wiper problem-the article above seems to be from the year 2016-and can I take my vehicle along with the 2013’s into a dealership to be serviced?
