1946 Chevrolet Found During Property Cleanup

For one blight crew, it was an eventful day. The Detroit News reports a 1946 Chevrolet was discovered as a crew descended upon an old property in Flint, Michigan.

Neighbors stated the property has been multiple things over the years, including a gas station. The 1946 Chevrolet was found overtaken by vegetation with a tag reading its assembly place: Fisher Body in Flint.

Chad Schlosser of the Mott Park Blight Squad said the car is “by far the greatest thing” they’ve found during routine site cleanups.

He stated the crew will work to locate the car’s owner, or track down a lucky someone who would be prepared to restore the 1946 Chevy to its former glory.

  3. This car shown has a 1947 grille. The cross members extend beyond the periphery of the grille. The 1946 cross members were enclosed within the edges.
