While the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro continues to take the United States, and other portions of the world by storm, Russia has sat out. Now, that changes.
Chevrolet Russia has announced customers may now place orders for the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro through their local dealership. However, if we’re reading the Russian release correctly, it seems Russians will only be graced with the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
Still, 238 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque is plenty of scoot to take the nimble Camaro from 0-60 in less than six seconds.
Russian Camaros will arrive in either 2LT or RS trimmings, with the RS package bringing 20-inch alloy wheels, a trunk lid spoiler, xenon headlights with LED trim, LED taillights and chrome grille with the RS badge.
Those features will be atop the 2LT’s standard electric sunroof, eight airbags, Brembo brakes, remote start, dual-zone climate control, front seats with ventilation and heating capabilities and a heated steering wheel.
Orders may be placed now, and fulfilled throughout the summer in major Russian city centers.
