Seller Lists 1984 Chevrolet Silverado For Sale With A Major Catch

Thankfully, no one fell for this hoax, but we have to give the seller some credit for at least trying. The Mirror reports one individual took to Craigslist to sell his 1984 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, but there was a major catch: the 1984 Silverado didn’t exist.

Instead, he wrote a tongue-in-cheek ad stating the 1984 Silverado was outfitted with an incredible camouflage paint job. Even better: four-wheel drive, low miles and “clean windows.” As if clean windows are a major selling point for some odd reason …

For an asking price of just $1,800, you could have went home with some very expensive tires and air.

  1. Everyone knows Chevrolet did not starting calling their pickups a Silverado until 1999 model year, so of course you could not sell a 1984 Silverado. It was only a trim package.
