Following up the news of Chris Evans departure from BBC Top Gear, Variety reports Matt LeBlanc will be going solo come the 24th season of the series.
LeBlanc is reportedly very close to signing on as the show’s single host, while the four other faces, Chris Harris, Rory Reid, Sabine Schmitz and Eddie Jordan, stick around for backup. Should all legal and scheduling go right, LeBlanc is reportedly in.
LeBlanc came off as much calmer and more entertaining to watch than the shouty, in-your-face Evans, but to each their own. Evans reportedly stepped down as host after police confirmed an investigation of alleged sexual harassment.

It looks if the reboot of Top Gear UK is going to crash and burn as Matt LeBlanc can’t carry the show alone; but the truth is that the audience is not willing to watch the program without the old cast.
