Here is a video of a 2016 C7 Corvette Z06, tuned by DSC. But, there is no extra power as part of the tuning equation.
Gasp! It was tuned… and there’s no extra power? Correct. Let us explain, with the help of Matt Farah.
DSC takes its wizardry and applies it to the Magnetic Ride Control system, leading to a much more intuitive drive. How much more intuitive? The shocks now have the capability to adjust in real time, and just over surfaces either.
GM’s programming has the shocks capable to adjust by reading the road surfaces, or by different selectable modes. DSC improves it to read steering, throttle and much more. The MRC shocks can then adjust when the driver begins spirited driving, again in real time, completely changing the feel of the vehicle.
Have a look at how it works, and how it feels, in the video above.
