Continuing his journey from Paris to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, host Gwilym C. Pugh pays a visit to notable tailor Gresham Blake to acquire some new threads before the big event. Because in order to be a gentleman, one must also look the part — and it helps that Pugh has already been properly groomed.
Those unfamiliar with Gresham Blake should know that his services have been described as, “bespoke tailoring for men with a trendy Cool Britannia edge.”
The spot draws parallels between the quality of a fine suit and the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS, which features premium materials and rich textures as standard equipment. So, between the new Camaro SS and the fresh suit from Blake, Pugh is most definitely is on the right track to arriving at Goodwood Festival in style.

Wait, he didn’t buy his stylish clothing from the Cadillac men’s fashion collection?
Good one! 🙂 too bad Cadillac doesn’t make custom suits.
But he’s driving a Chevy.
You want a T shirt with that?
That is what Chevy gave me at the NHRA meet.
Right. Nothing says bespoke fashion like Chevy.
But, ok, here’s where I get confused:
Cadillac sponsors men’s fashion week in NYC. Big fashion launch on Gilt.com, and I can’t find a thing online. Now, they have a Dare Greatly effort featuring an unproven newbie fashion designer. And an artisanal balloon artist.
And GMC had their Cadillac-esque, filmed in SoHo fashion thing.
And now, Chevy moves into fashion??
When did GM go full-on fashion? From the land of (still pleated) khakis and tucked-in blue Oxford cloth shirts and rep ties??
Three marques letting their fashion flags fly? Porsche can pull it off. Ferrari.
Help me understand why it’s ok for three brands (with no discernable fashion chops) to collide … I seriously don’t get it. Corvette is the only one I can see pulling it off. Otherwise, I see Tony D wearing his black Buick golf shirt, explaining how successful Buick is, with one mini CUV selling, and everything else in the red.
But, again, why are three of four models chasing men’s fashion? Not to be harsh, but I just don’t get the master plan.
