Chevrolet is bringing new sheetmetal to the NASCAR Xfinity series. The brand revealed its latest Camaro stock car for the series, set to debut at Daytona next February, while the Chevrolet SS continues to do battle in the Sprint Cup series.
Obviously, the only thing that’s really a Camaro here is the front end and rear clip styling. But, we’re here to discuss if the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro wears its stock car duds fashionably, or fails at doing so.
It is strange to see the 2016 Camaro stretched out in stock car form, but we think the front face looks great, and should prove menacing in the rearview mirrors for other competing drivers in the Xfinity series. In fact, that’s where the Camaro’s competitive advantage supposedly comes from: its aerodynamic front end.
Other than its fascia, it looks like your standard issue NASCAR stock car. Overall, we give it a passing grade for bringing the Camaro’s evolutionary good looks to the Xfinity series. But what say you? Cast a vote in our poll, and head to the comment section below.

It is what it is a car that fits NASCARS template.
But it does give those who ask for a higher roof a peak at what it would look like. Not great.
I agree – the high roofline doesn’t seem to tie in with the Camaro front end, although the front looks good by itself, but I understand that’s the roof shape NASCAR requires. Reminds me of the Code concept from the front angle, and from the side, Monte Carlo keeps popping into my head!
Actually I get a old Lumina vibe from the profile.
Sorry but that is how it looks.
Not!
