Eight GM Vehicles Up For North American Car, Utility Of The Year Award

General Motors is at one of its strongest levels it has been at in years, and its product speaks for itself. However, recognition is never a bad form of flattery.
Today, over 40 vehicles were announced to compete for the 2017 North American Car, Truck and Utility of the Year award. In the process, eight General Motors vehicles landed on said list.
Representing for the North American Car of the Year are:
And for the North American Utility of the Year:
Neither the Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra, or Colorado/Canyon twins, are being considered for the North American Truck of the Year.
Now, American and Canadian automotive journalists will begin combing through each vehicle this coming September to pick the best of the best. 40 vehicles enter, but nine will survive. Judges will announce three finalists for each category (car, utility and truck) on December 6, 2016.
