Carbon Black Sport Package Delivers First-Ever Black Chrome Grille For Cadillac V-Series Models

Announced earlier in July, the Cadillac Carbon Black sport package for the 2017 Cadillac ATS and 2017 Cadillac CTS features a new blacked-out look for Caddy’s compact and midsize sedans. But what’s perhaps even more notable is that the package also delivers the first-ever black chrome grille for the ATS-V and CTS-V.

We should emphasize that the grille is “black chrome”, which means that it’s not totally black per se, but is several shades darker than the bright chrome grille on models not equipped with the Carbon Black package.

Check out the photos of the Carbon Black ATS-V and CTS-V just below, and then tell us if you like the new package in the comments.

  1. Awesome looking packages! I think I will wait on the XT5 V Sport with the carbon black package.

  2. I like the V-Series either way as long everything, except the rims, are not chrome black.

  3. Given that Cadillac is limiting the production of CTS-V cars to just 2,000 units, Cadillac should consider building CTS-Vsport with the LF4 464 horsepower 3.6L DOHC-4v V6 twin-turbo then give the 420 hp LF3 for lesser GM models like the 2017 Buick LaCrosse AWD and Chevrolet Impala.

    1. Pretty good idea, I’d say. Can stick the LF3 into the LaCrosse GS and Impala SS/Z-Spec.
