1967 Buick Wildcat Sport Coupe Is The Cat’s Meow

Hemmings has once again highlighted one the more unique vehicles for sale, and this time it’s a gorgeous, 1967 Buick Wildcat Sport Coupe.

The Buick Wildcat began life in 1963 after being spun off from the Invicta. It was originally conceived to be one of the sportier options for Buick customers, even taking its wild name from a 1953 Buick concept.

This 1967 Wildcat is all original, maintained meticulously and carries only 90,654 miles with it.  The owner states it has been stored in a climate controlled unit since taking ownership of it in 2007, and did a complete engine rebuild at 89,000 miles.

The 1967 Wildcat arrived with a 430 cubic-inch V8, producing 360 hp. However, the 430 was overshadowed and replaced by Buick’s 455 cubic-inch V8, which debuted only three years later. According to the owner, though, the 430 is more than enough to perk one’s ears, and provides excellent power.

  1. These were great cars that few could afford. Not as collectible as 60’s mid sized GM A bodies. However, these may hold better investment potential since they are rare to find. Finding one in very good condition would be a good investment. A restored vehicle with photos of the rebuild is the way to go.

  2. In an era when companies such as Mazda and Nissan crimp sheet metal into modified sweep spears, I really wish that Buick would take more design risks. The new Honda Civic looks more Buick than Verano!
