You Can Purchase A “New” Cadillac For Up To Thirty Percent Off Of MSRP

For one reason or another Cadillac vehicles have been sticking around dealership lots the way certain overaged men live in their mother’s basements. Yes, bad news for Cadillac – but it’s great news for consumers. Jalopnik recently compiled this list of five Cadillacs with impulsion-promoting discounts, and if you’re in the market for a new car you’ll certainly want to check it out.

The first car on the list is a 2014 Cadillac ATS Luxury with the 3.6-liter LFX V6. It’s fully loaded, is brand new with only 33 miles, and carries a price tag of $28,900 – that’s over $14K off of the MSRP. Yes, as Jalopnik points out, you could have a 335 horsepower luxury sedan for less than the price of a well-equipped 2016 Chevrolet Malibu.

The second car on the list is a 2014 CTS with the 2.0L LTG turbo four-pot and 7,000 miles on the clock. Originally $51,185, the car’s sticker price has been slashed to $34,806 in an effort to move it off the lot. Sure, it’s a pretty sizable discount, but any pragmatist can quickly imagine further depreciation. Such is the case with most luxury vehicles.

There’s also a low-mileage (6,500) 2014 XTS Premium for $40,500 versus the original $58,175, and a potentially collectible 2014 ELR for only $52,000. Sure it’s got 5,446 miles on it, but at over thirty grand off of the MSRP someone who wanted a brand new ELR could probably look the other way (or at least not at the dash).

The Beyoncé of this lineup is the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V with a 6-speed manual. The listed price is $61,769, which means that you could get the Twin-Turbo 3.6-liter V6 LF4-powered sports car for $11,000 off of the original price.

Meanwhile, if you want a brand-new 2017 Cadillac ATS, look for a healthy amount of content for the price, and the deletion of the anemic 2.5L engine.

    1. I sounds like they dealer rental cars. Which of course makes the way this story is written a little confusing.. Other then the ATS, all other cars mentioned have a small amount of miles which of course would make sense to why there is a huge discount,, they have miles and are 2 years old, makes sense to me to why they are discounted so much.
