Carolina Panthers’ tight end Greg Olsen sent his custom 1969 Chevrolet Camaro convertible off to auction with the goal of raising money for TheHEARTest Yard program, a foundation which he started after his son was diagnosed with a congenital cardiovascular problem.
Olsen did just that, with NASCAR team owner, and well-known car collector, Rick Hendrick put the winning bid in of $100,000 at Barrett-Jackson Mohegan Sun, according to Fox Sports.
Hendrick’s latest acquisition features a a built Dart V8 427ci small-block engine using Dart aluminum heads and aftermarket components with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. Additionally, the entire car has been professionally restored.
