New Bumblebee Chevrolet Camaro Revealed Ahead Of Next ‘Transformers’ Film

The Chevrolet Camaro found a lot of love when the fifth-generation concept was introduced in 2006, before seeing production in 2010. However, a whole new generation fell in love with Camaro thanks to Transformers.

Bumblebee, one of the main Autocons Autobots, was reborn in the film’s reboot as a fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro, leading to a new love affair, Camaro Bumblebee editions and much more. Now, ahead of the next Transformers film, director Michael Bay has shown off how we should expect Bumblebee to look when he invades big screens in summer 2017.

Based on the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro, Bumblebee is riding on the tout Alpha platform, and the design shows it. The latest design is more aggressive, sleeker and a fitting follow up to what we’ve seen from Bumblebee in the past. There’s some aggressive aerodynamics going on up front, with a large front splitter, side skirts and a massive wing out back to tie it all together.

    1. If GM builds it exactly as shown it will be a miracle to me….GM concepts are sometimes beautiful but the reality is when it comes to final production it is dummied down to ugliness.

  3. Any of us that have been around for awhile are well versed in GM Concept Cars….They look good…They never make them..If they do they dummy them down….All other manufacturers copy the style one way or another.

    1. I agree. Aggressive, Sleeker and meaner? Sure in a 90’s ricer body-kit kind of way. Way to make a great car look like something you’d see rolling through the ghetto with an annoying fart can muffler dangling from the frame by way of a coat hanger. UGLY.

  5. It would be great if Chevy built a Bumblebee model.. with a massaged LTG 2.0L DOHC-4v 4-cyl turbo to generate 300 hp @ 5800 rpm which should drop the acceleration times to sixty in under 5.0 seconds.

  13. I love it! It looks pretty awesome. There are many hardcore Camaro fans who simply hate the idea of a Transformers Edition and they always will. The camaro5.com forums are filled with such people. It doesn’t matter what it looks like or how sweet it is, haters gonna hate.

If Chevy produces it for the public, I’ll likely buy one.
