Lingenfelter Hosting Cars & Coffee Dedicated To Pontiac G8, GTO And Chevrolet SS

We very much like the kind folks at Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. We like the people behind the brand, the business, the badass cars it builds and its events. But, we really, really like LPE’s upcoming event.

Lingenfelter has named its upcoming, July 9 “Cars & Coffee” event a day dedicated to the Pontiac GTO, G8 and the Chevrolet SS performance sedan. You could say it’s a day to recognize some of the more underrated examples of GM performance over the years. Or, call it a day to celebrate Holden in America.

Set to take place in Wixom, Michigan, the event will have standard coffee brews along with donuts and muffins, all free of charge. Simply come to enjoy the day. Check out the information at the official event page here.

Who knows, yours truly may even show up with a certain Holden VE Commodore…

  1. 34 hour drive… Now taking reasonable business excuses to drive to Michigan.

  2. Really its only because their insurance wouldn’t continue to cover Mustangs being included.

  3. Anyone ever see an SS TV ad?

    1. TV is not how the SS is marketed to customers. The Corvette doesn’t need TV advertisements, and neither does the SS for exactly the same reason; their reputations precede them.

      1. The SS doesn’t have a 40 or 50 year history so marketing it should have been a need. In truth, GM wanted the SS to fail because they wanted to close the Holden plan in Australia. It is a good looking family hot rod that should be in competition with an M5 or sporty Benz but, oh well. Could have been a little sexier like the G8?
