Larbre Competition’s Paolo Ruberti Sidelined From Le Mans With Fractured Vertebrae

One of the three teams that will run the Corvette C7.R at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, Larbre Competition, has experienced a minor setback just two weeks ahead of the endurance race.

The GTE Am team’s professional driver, Paolo Ruberti, has been sidelined from Le Mans after suffering fractured vertebrae in a crash at Hockenheim. According to Sportscar365, Ruberti was coaching a student when the Audi R8 they were in lost its brakes at 120 mph.

Larbre team owner Jack Leconte has yet to announce a replacement for Ruberti, however there is no shortage of pro drivers that would be happy to step up and race at Le Mans. Perhaps he should call up Doug Fehan and see if the Corvette Racing boss can tap Audi for some help?

  1. I would step up but nobody’s asked me.
