Ah, the exhaust system. One of the first stops for owners to make more power, and sound. It’s a satisfying upgrade due to the potential performance pick-ups, and the delightful noises to be had.
The exhaust business is a competitive one, though. Dozens of companies fight for business, claiming their setup will do bigger and better things than another. Today, Holley Performance wants to make its case for its Hooker Blackheart exhaust system on the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
The Hooker system has proven to see 23 hp and 30 lb-ft of torque gains on the dyno, and it saves eight-pounds from the OE exhaust system.
But, it also sounds quite good. A nice, toned rumble with the exhaust closed, and a gnarly bark upon opening it up.
