GM Canada Making Major Announcement This Week

General Motors Canada has released a media advisory, informing journalists of a major announcement coming for the Oshawa, Ontario area, on June 10, 2016.

While the media advisory itself does not provide any information, local news affiliate CFPL AM reports the announcement will surround the addition of hundreds of new jobs coming to the area surrounding several GM development and research facilities.

The report states Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, and Premier Kathleen Wynne will be on hand at the GM Canada headquarters to reveal the news. It’s said the total number of new positions coming could reach 1,000.

  2. Kathleen Wynne has done her best to try and make Ontario uncompetitive for manufacturing. Trudeau is a useless PM, but hopefully there is great news for lots of new job and manufacturing.

  3. Jobs are at the tech centre for work on autonomous cars and mobility. Working with the Ontario University Institute of Technology, Oshawa will be where most of this work will be done.
