Gear Up For Chevy Trailblazer SS Day At Lingenfelter Cars & Coffee

Lingenfelter is on a roll with calling out the obscurities within the automotive realm. Not only will Lingenfelter Performance Engineering host an event dedicated to the Pontiac GTO, G8 and Chevrolet SS, but now it’s calling all Chevrolet Trailblazer SS owners to show off their rides.

The Trailblazer SS is one of those oddballs that seems to have snuck out of the engineering department somehow. Sporting a 6.0-liter LS2 V8 engine, it’s no slouch, and they remain difficult to find due to low sales numbers.

Not only should Trailblazer SS owners take notice, but how about any Saab 9-7X Aero owners looking for a piece of the limelight? Although the 9-7X Aero was badge engineering at its finest, it still received the same LS2 V8 engine from the Trailblazer SS.

Head over to the link here for the event, and grab all your information on the event set to take place on July 30, 2016.

  1. The good ol’ days! I wish I still had mine! Doesn’t look like we will ever see these kind of specialty vehicles again from GM. Kudos to Chrysler Corp. for continuing to produce muscle cars AND suvs! Soccer moms rule the market! Congradulations! You get get your bland, 8 passenger child courier crossovers.

    1. Ford Flex 7 seater ecoboost with AWD and a livernois tune. Biggest sleeper.

The SS was cool, but my boss had one with a bunch of problem. Super fast tho.

  2. This is the market segment that GM is missing-at least in the United States. Mid size rear drive SUV. An SS version would be icing on the cake. Recently looked at the new Tahoe-nice truck but just too big. I’ll be keeping my Trailblazer.

  3. Smokefoot, you are 100% correct! I was forced to buy a Yukon, being a loyal, lifetime GM customer. Nice vehicle, but too big. The rest of the GM suv/cuv, truck lineup does not appeal to me…too small, too big, underpowered, front wheel drive, too many unnecessary seats with, child entertainment centers. How about a Trailblazer with a 4.3 V6 (not the 3.6 car engine) with a V8 option. We need performance and individuality in our trucks and suvs. Blackout packages on trucks and suvs don’t cut it. Stripes and black wheels don’t make a truck go faster, handle and sound better. At different points in the past we had an SS 454 pu., GMC Syclone, GMC Typhoon, Silverado SS, and, last but not least, a Trailblazer SS. Chrysler offers a midsize Jeep GC with rear wheel/4-wheel drive, with 4 engine options, including 3 variations of V8s, Ford has a sport package on its Explorer with a turbo 6. Corvette, Camaro, and Cadillac Vs are not practical choices for people that need the versatility of a truck or suv. Come on GM! You can’t give us a least one performance vehicle in this profitable market. How about a two door Tahoe/Yukon, that was built in the past and taken away from us. I am left with the nearly the impossible task of finding a used Trailblazer SS with low miles or else moving on to a non GM product. Bad job by GM corporate, not addressing home base market needs and concentrating on outside markets. I guess its all about money and not loyal, customer satisfaction.
