Chevrolet Counts Down To Camaro 50th Anniversary Party

Over the weekend, Chevrolet added a webpage dedicated to 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition, along with a countdown to what seems to be an anniversary party of sorts happening in Detroit, Michigan.
At present, we’re 65 days away from whatever Chevrolet has planned for the milestone, which will take place between August 18 and 20. The memo reads:
Camaro wasn’t built in a generation. Each innovation has been the starting point for the next. Every milestone a green light for another. Generation Six is a culmination of everything before it. The fittest has arrived, and this is its journey.

The 2017 Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition will reach production this summer with bespoke features and styling cues to signify the special vehicle, including plenty of gray and orange accents as seen in the photo above.
I drove a 1967 Rally Sport model with the vacuum operated headlight covers. I wish Chevrolet will bring back the RS, even with electric headlight covers to improve aerodynamics.
My 50th SS was produced last week; ordered everything but sunroof. I have airline reservations already for the weekend. Is it in Warren; GM Tech Center?
