General Motors Files Trademark Application For ‘Book My Cadillac’

General Motors has filed an application to register Book My Cadillac as a trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), GM Authority has discovered.

The automaker’s June 7th, 2016 application is assigned serial number 87063124 and specifies that the mark will be used to name:

  • Downloadable mobile and web-based application for reserving vehicles through a motor vehicle sharing service
  • Motor vehicle sharing services, namely, providing temporary use of motor vehicles

The GM Authority Take

The Book My Cadillac filing follows an application for Book By Cadillac, which GM filed in May. As such, it would appear that Caddy prefers the Book My Cadillac name over Book By Cadillac for its rumored but as-of-yet-unannounced ride sharing service.
