Accident Watch: C5 Corvette Has Its Rear Shaved Off After Clipping Fire Hydrant

In what seems to be the result of excessive speeding, a C5 Corvette in British Columbia ended up with its rear end taken off after a bizarre accident.
Castanet.net reports the C5 Corvette was traveling at excessive speeds, when the driver lost control, clipping a fire hydrant in the process. The Corvette then rammed into a fence and struck a pole, bringing it to a halt.
The two men inside the vehicle only suffered minor injuries, and were taken by ambulance to the hospital. So far, no criminal charges have been brought forth, but the driver is being investigated for speeding.
