It seems some are taking notice of the 2016 Cadillac CT6 and its American take on the full-size, luxury sedan. Digital Trends recently held its 2016 Digital Trends Car Awards with a plethora of categories, one of them being luxury sedans.
And the 2016 Cadillac CT6 took home the win, beating out the BMW 7-Series and Jaguar XF. While editors noted the 7-Series had more technology and luxury up its sleeve, the CT6 was noted to integrate its tricks in a much more clever fashion. They also appreciated the smooth 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, as well as the agile chassis making for a pleasant experience whether one is driving the CT6, or is a passenger.
Blending the best of both worlds, the CT6 was selected as a driver’s, or passenger’s ride of choice.

It’s news like this that helps sell cars . A friend of mine works at the only Cadillac Dealership here ( he is the loan officer ) and he told me that everyone of the CT6’s they get sits on the lot for no more than 2 days . Most are leases but i hear that is the norm for luxury cars .
More accolades for Cadillac .
GM needs to milk that rear-view camera for what it’s worth. They need to make that a Cadillac calling card. No other luxury automaker can claim that feature.
There’s no doubt that the new Cadillac CT6 is possibly one of the most advanced automobiles that General Motors has designed and built in the past 20 years especially given how it has such a huge weight savings over similar size competitors which has caused BMW to integrate the usage of carbon fiber in it’s 7-series as an attempt to catch up; but it’s unclear how long before the public accepts Cadillac’s CT6 as being the new standard to the world or will CT6 sales be at the cannibalization of CTS sales which has steadily fallen since the CT6 was introduced.
The 3rd gen. CTS sales were falling long before the arrival of the CT6.
Cadillac expects some cannibilizing of sales as there is price overlap. I do not think Cadillac minds that much though as their unit profit should be higher on the CT6 versus CTS.
I don’t see why the Jaguar XF was included in this test. The XF is a midsize sedan. Shouldn’t they have been comparing the XJ against the CT6 and 750i?
