Vauxhall Motors has announced that it will return to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year, which takes place from June 23-26. The automaker also stated that the festival will be the UK debut of the GT Concept along with other rare heritage concepts. What’s more: it will also show off the 544 hp Vauxhall Maloo LSA.
Fitting in with the Festival’s theme this year – ‘Full Throttle – the Endless Pursuit of Power’ – Vauxhall will have two more very special displays on its stand. Full Throttle Competition Cars will showcase iconic race cars from the past, including Gerry Marshall’s Baby Bertha and the very latest Vauxhall (Opel) Motorsport Adam R2 rally car. The Full Throttle Road Cars display will include the 376bhp Lotus Carlton and supercharged Monaro VXR500.
Altogether there will be 30 Vauxhall cars, including the beloved GT Concept and all-new, award-winning Astra.
Vauxhall will be the only booth at the festival to offer a free “crèche and hospitality area.” Vauxhall says that parents will be able to enjoy refreshments (free, if you’re a Vauxhall owner) and browse some rare and fast Vauxhalls, while children get their own car-fix. The Adam Pedal Car Derby and Vauxhall race simulators will appeal to budding GP drivers. There’s also a zip line, ball-pond and face painting and more. Parents will be able to utilize the buggy park, Child Wagon wire, and baby change area.
If you are attending the festival and wish to stop by, the Vauxhall Family Experience is located near Gate 1 in the in-field section of the event, near to the Goodwood Action Sports Arena (GAS) and a short walk from the hillclimb’s main start-line.
Vauxhall will be joined as part of GM’s presence by Chevrolet, with the popular Chevrolet Café, at the Festival of Speed.
