Two New Colors Coming To 2017 Model Year Chevrolet SS

If there were a novel to describe the Chevrolet SS performance sedan, it would likely read similar to “All Quiet On The Western Front.” Alright, maybe simply the title is relevant, but you get the idea.

The 2016 Chevrolet SS has finally begun finding its way to dealer lots, where only those in the know are scooping up the fantabulous machines. Meanwhile, the 2017 Chevy SS is seeing some color changes for what will be its last year on the market. Specifically, two new colors are added to the palette, while three existing ones are deleted.

New Colors

  • Orange Blast (extra cost)
  • Nightfall Gray Metallic

Deleted Colors

  • Some Like It Hot Red Metallic
  • Jungle Green Metallic
  • Mystic Green Metallic

The first hue may be having you saying, “orange you glad you waited for the 2017 model year?” Yes, that’s right, the 2017 Chevrolet SS will receive “Orange Blast Metallic” as an extra-cost option, which could please those upset over the discontinuation of “Alchemy Purple” for the 2016 model year SS. But, if orange isn’t your style, then “Nightfall Gray Metallic” will also join the color line.

Other than colors, we’re tapped out on information for the 2017 Chevrolet SS, but we hope Chevrolet throws us a going away party, much like Holden Special Vehicles is planning.

  1. Not sure how orange appeases purple fans. Meanwhile, no Perfect Blue comeback.

If they were going to do a gray, Cyber Gray Metallic would make the most sense, seeing as people would be able to align/match everything from an HHR SS, to a C6, to a C7 with that color.
