Opel is pleased to announce it has enhanced connectivity features surrounding the myOpel app. Now, the application can send destinations to a vehicle’s navigation system without being near, or inside the vehicle.
Not only that, but drivers can now add comments to the Vehicle Location function, and even a photo, to help them find their car later. In order to avoid parking fines, myOpel users can also set a timer to remind them when the meter expires.
Taking advantage of Opel OnStar with the latest version of the myOpel app, Opel drivers may enter the destination on their smartphone or select it from the address book and send it to their car at the push of a button. It’s no wonder why the “remote control” function is the most popular feature surrounding Opel OnStar and the application.
“The customer appeal of our Opel OnStar personal connectivity and service assistant just gets stronger and stronger”, said Tina Müller, Chief Marketing Officer of the Opel Group. “With the cool new Send Destination function and the helpful enhancements to Vehicle Location, the myOpel smartphone app offers Opel OnStar users more convenience and even higher peace of mind.”
Opel OnStar is currently available on all Opel passenger cars in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland, and as Vauxhall OnStar in the United Kingdom. An additional 18 countries will follow in August 2016.
