So, an L model only comes in Silver (unless a sport package is available on a base model which is unlikely). That’s kind of strange.
Yupp, pretty much. This gently “guiding” of customers into a non-base model is one of the reasons why Average Transaction Prices are up so much this year. Well, that, and the fact that they have substantially decreased sales to rental fleets.
So where is the E-Asset Hybrid they promised in 2014 ! Malibu is doing just fine with it. Please walk the Talk.
There have never been any promises of eAssist on the Equinox… when and where did this take place? The vehicle is about about to be replaced with an all-new model, too.
I like the darker color blue whatever it’s called . So you’ll almost be able to tell what trim level someone bought by just looking at the color . Would like to see GM offer more earth tone colors like a metallic brown or the Dark Jadestone Green used in the mid 1980’s .
Yes, like a dark deep teal would be cool, also-they have no color variety-tired of waiting for them to make a more extensive color palet
Remember when cars came in 12-18 exterior colors + a multitude of 2-tones and 5 – 7 interior colors ..
Virtually all single exterior colors were N/C; interiors now generally limited to 2-3
Over the past several years, basic black and white seem to be the only N/C’s – everything else is additional charge : $395-995
The public being hosed as usual?
Equinox and Terrain demonstrate that older product, if consistently updated, can thrive in the market. Another example is Dodge Journey and Jeep Patriot–both have which have hit production records.
All to often GM has been all to eager to replace solid platforms in an effort to garner sales success (Malibu jumping from Epsilon to Epsilon 2 without significant restyling).
Customers pay little attention to nuts and bolts but instead desire a reliable and attractively priced and packaged product.
Nightfall gray or Patriot blue for me.
Patriot Blue – Which colors are NOT an extra cost option ?

So according to your list the only color available on the L package is SIlver Ice Metallic?
I am a GM person-but, they are forcing me to look @ other brands, only because of their exterior colors-they never add or change colors, and completely leave out the women who purchase cars…my car has been paid off for a while, i would only purchase a new one-if GM would offer me a new exciting color-and, they Never do-i want a dark plum purple color, a dark black cherry, something pretty with a metal flake-c’mon GM, you are ignoring your female buyers-wheres your new colors-i dont want yet another shade of gray or white-i want rich color choices!
It’s really hard to tell from the photos, but is the irridecent pearl tricoat more white or silver/grey? We are planning on getting a 2017 LT AWD 3.6 in the future and am disappointed they got rid of the champagne silver metallic, as that was my favourite. So sick of black and grey and not a blue or red fan.
My current Equinox is Champagne Silver Metallic which I love!!! I am sooooo disappointed that it is no longer available. I guess my second choice would be the Iridescent Pearl. Did I understand that 2017 will the final year for the Equinox?
Does this mean I cannot get the gold color I have in a new Equinox? Just the colors mentioned> what about silver metallic?
you cancelled the Patriot Blue !?
I, too, agree that the exterior color options are redundant and the new nightfall gray metallic still does not have that WOW factor. I am also disappointed with the fact that the automatic child-lock feature was discontinued and is now a manual function. SAFETY FIRST – NEVER TAKE AWAY AN AUTOMATIC FEATURE THAT PROVIDES PEACE OF MIND FOR DRIVERS WITH CHILDREN IN THE CAR.
Hmmm, we recently bought a end-of-lease 2017 Equinox LT in red. However, in trying to match color for body side moldings, the match is Limited Addiction Red Pearl, not Siren Red. Hmmm? Although Fox Chevrolet did a great job of doing stone chip touchup, the color is lighter as if they used Siren Red instead of Limited Addiction? Or perhaps not a deep enough coat…
Love the car, it replaced our 2010 Mocha Steel Terrain. Hope Equinox is as great a car as the Terrain!
