GMC Fires Up The 2017 Acadia Configurator

GMC is ready to let the public build their very own 2017 Acadia, the full-size crossover turned midsize. If you head to the link here, you can begin the build process. Coyly, GMC begins the visitor with an attractive SLE-2 trim. Sneaky, GMC.
However, bumping it down a notch brings you to the base SL trim, equipped with the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic, starting at $29,995, and the choice of just two colors.
But, we digress. Hitting the configurator hard led to a 2017 Acadia SLT-2 trim, complete with the 3.6-liter V6, all-wheel drive, 20-inch wheels and splashes of chrome throughout the exterior. Inside, the SLT-2 trim nets you an eight-inch IntelliLink system ready for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated seats in the front and rear, the suite of driver safety systems 4G LTE WiFi and the list goes on. However, this is a $44,675 before taxes, title and other dealer fees.
So, go ahead, build away. Let us know what you come back with, and discuss below.
Update: the 2017 GMC Acadia Denali configurator can be separately found here.
- Sweepstakes Of The Month: Win a Corvette Z06 and 2024 Silverado. Details here.
The one thing I don’t understand at all is the powertrain – why put the 6-speed in when the same platform’s XT5 model has an 8-speed? If price is the answer then at least the Denali should have gotten the in-vogue powertrain.
Other than that the new Acadia looks great, can’t wait for them to start hitting the lots.
The current Acadia Denali is roughly $50K (my wife and I have a 2013 model). Seems about right.
Acadia Denali is listed separately it seems.

GMC has listed the Denali lines of their vehicles separately for years now. Writers for GM Authority should know that!
I cannot believe with all the technology that they removed the very useful HUD. I know many people coming into the dealer specifically for this in the previous Acadia, many of whom are conquest sales. Not having to take your eyes off the road is a great safety, especially with navigation.
When you look through the available options the adaptive suspension is shown but I can’t find it on the build your own section. I also agree with the comment regarding no HUD. Looking at some of the pictures on the GMC web site I thought I could see signs of it on the Denali dash but evidently not.
I too would like a HUD. I have it in my Corvette. I just ordered a SLT-2 2017 Acadia from the local dealer . The internet for them said 8-12 week delivery. Does anyone know if they are in production yet?
