Chevrolet announced it’s still in the game. The brand stated it has renewed its partnership with the Major League Baseball, a relationship dating back to 2005.
Chevrolet will continue to be the Official Vehicle of Major League Baseball and also becomes the Official Automotive Sponsor of MLB and USA Baseball’s Play Ball initiative.
“Chevrolet’s partnership with Major League Baseball is a natural fit and allows the brand and our dealers to connect with generations of Americans on a personal level through the support of hometown teams at both the professional and youth levels,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet Marketing.
The Play Ball initiative seeks to encourage participation in baseball and softball activities among all age groups, especially youth. Since 2006, Chevrolet has supported baseball at the youth level in communities across the country through a grassroots, community outreach program called Chevy Youth Baseball.
The news follows Chevrolet’s continued sponsorship of Detroit’s own Comerica Park, where a 2016 Chevy Camaro and 2016 Chevy Colorado were placed atop the park’s fountain.
