Andreas Schaaf will be making the move to China as the brand’s Vice President in the country, a shuffle from Schaaf’s current home as Vice President of Cadillac Europe.
“I am certain that Andreas’ profound knowledge of customer expectations in Asia will continue to push Cadillac to the pinnacle of premium in China, our second largest market,” said Cadillac President, Johan de Nysschen.
In Schaaf’s current role, Cadillac sales grew 90-percent year-over-year in Europe. Before his time with Cadillac, he spent his career with BMW AG, focusing on product management and strategy. He then moved to marketing and sales for the Asian and Eastern European region for BMW.
Schaaf’s new position will take place on June 1, 2016. A successor to Schaaf’s VP of Europe position will be announced separately, according to the brand.
