The 2017 Chevrolet Volt has seen its first update in the form of “Citron Green Metallic,” the latest addition to the Volt’s color palette.
It’s not particularly green, but more champagne in style. We’ve had our staff split on how we’re digging the hue. Some have called it handsome, while others have stated it’s a “new, ugly paint color.” It does, however, remind us of 1990s Toyota Camry tan. The gold badges should be along any second now …
Anyway, Citron Green Metallic joins Heather Gray, Silver Ice, Mosaic Black, Kinetic Blue and Siren Red as color options for the plug-in electric vehicle. It also seems Citron Green is exclusive to the Volt, for now at least.
How are you feeling about the latest hue? Talk to us below should you feel so compelled.

Have to see it in person but going by the picture I am not digging it.
Should of call it the “Sedona beige metallic”
Aww hell no. Great car, terrible colour.
Maybe it looks greener in person? I’d say it has potential, but looks like a run of the mill champagne beige from the photo. Zzzzzz…..
BTW: this color was allegedly to be offered on the Impala for 2016, but as far as I can tell none were actually produced.
I described it to my wife as slightly nauseated beige.
Why can’t green cars come in pretty green colors? (Especially the Leaf- aren’t leaves supposed to be green?)
Nissan Cube Moss Green. Stunning. (And they had to discontinue the color, but I’d guess because the Caribbean blue was even more awesome.)
