Originally announced back in June of 2015 thanks to a renewed collaboration between GM and Isuzu, the 2017 Chevrolet Low Cab Forward trucks have been a long time coming. Luckily, we now have the order guides for the new Chevy LCFs, providing some much-needed insight into their configuration and availability.
Starting at $40,900, the 2017 Chevy LCF trucks will be offered in these seven work truck models:
- 2017 Chevrolet 3500 LCF Gasoline
- 2017 Chevrolet 4500Â LCF Gasoline
- 2017 Chevrolet 3500HDÂ LCF Diesel
- 2017 Chevrolet 4500HD LCF Diesel
- 2017 Chevrolet 4500XD LCF Diesel
- 2017 Chevrolet 5500HD LCF Diesel
- 2017 Chevrolet 5500XD LCF Diesel
Each of those have underlying variants that modify the wheelbase, GVWR, and cab. The wheelbases range from 109- to 212-inches, the GVWRs go from 12,000 pounds to 19,500 pounds, and the cabs are either Regular or Crew.

The 2017 Chevrolet LCF medium duty trucks will have a three-engine, three-transmission lineup. The three engines include one GM gas engine — the 6.0L Vortec V8 L96 (or its LC8 gaseous variant) — and two four-cylinder Isuzu turbo-diesels.
